The New DVD Of X The Manga Series Has Been Released On DVD.

By Jade C Tyler

Clamp is one of the best creators of manga in the world and his hit X has just been released on DVD by MVM. Basically, it's an epic anime adventure offering something for everyone, but is it worth buying? Well, after reviewing the facts, we'd have to say yes. It's not going to be everyone's favourite thing but if you like anime and action then you will love it. The new DVD has a preview episode to help new viewers understand the characters so even if you're unfamiliar with the manga series, you can still enjoy this story.

So, what's X all about? Basically, it follows the story of a young boy called Kamui Shiro who is based in Tokyo. It turns out that his destiny, whether he wants it or not, is to fulfill prophecies which were foretold by a book called the Book of Revelation. The End of Days are coming and the story follows the epic battle to choose to save earth or humankind. It's quite action packed and there's something for everyone in this series.

From the talented director, Yoshiaki Kawajiri, who also directed Vampire Hunter D, the story is an adventure tale and it's been classed as apocalyptic. X is a great story that covers 24 episodes on the DVD and it's actually only Volume 1 that's been released.

The epic battle that I mentioned earlier is one that will apparently decide the fate of earth and of human kind. There are two sides to the story though as we learn throughout the series. One side, the Dragons of Heaven, intend to save mankind from extinction whereas the other side, the Dragons of Earth intend to wipe out human kind in order to save the planet. There's a bit of a twist though - as with any anime movie or TV series! The young man Kamui Shiro is the man who can sway the battle and shape the future according to the seer Hinoto and this is where the story gets exciting.

Kamui has been away for several years, training with six other young people to prepare for the battle. It is prophesised that when Kamui returns, another will challenge him and the real battle will commence. To start with, Kamui doesn't really want to be involved but when his two friends end up caught up in all of it, he finally takes his place and assumes his fated position to end all wars.

X has caused quite a stir in the anime world and it's not hard to see why. The DVD offers some of the best animation we've seen for a while and it's an action packed adventure with something for everyone. It's release on the 19th of October will allow everyone from children to adults to enjoy this epic tale of adventure, the End of Days and of course, the story of Kamui Shiro. - 30295

By Wayne Torres

Anime has been known since the early of 20th century, but not until the 1980s that it attains conventional credit from the world. It is the Japan that makes anime popular. Even though some countries in Asian also draw anime nowadays, when you hear the word anime it is mostly attributed to the Japanese anime. The history of this art is quite long, starting from Japanimation to anime. During the earlier decades of introduction, Japanese artists and others in the industry tried to develop new animation techniques to perform like those in western countries, and the concept was known as Japanimation. They make it great and anime is really popular now.

First of all, anime is different from the ordinary cartoon animation. They cover many genres to meet everyone's need and taste. With quality graphic and detail precision, you can enjoy animes from the sweet drama to the thrilling action ones, from the scaring horror to the stimulating erotic ones.

Animation itself allows anime creators to convey just about any storyline they desire. It is much easier to make a cartoon about large robots featuring huge action and destruction sequences than it is to produce a live-action film including the same things.

With recent advances in CGI animators have even more power to transfer their wildest imaginations on to a screen. Storylines, characters, and settings are limited only to what creators can conjure up in their minds.

A picture can say a lot, but anime can do even better. Better storylines and characters are two distinctive advantages. When reading anime, you can expect to understand and involve in the all-inclusive stories better. Anime also has character flashbacks so that you can know the history or background of each character.

Juvenile humor may be thrown in sporadically in drama-based animes, but do not be surprised if you see poignant and profound character development in humor-based animes as well.

However, parents should be aware that not all animes are suitable for their kids. Many of them contain nudes, violence, sexual implication that should only be read by those above 18 years old. This is why animes have lots of fans.

There are animes for children, young adults, and adults. It just depends on the genre choice and the anime material.

Now that you know the basics of anime and its history, it is time to find the right animes for you. Pick a genre, read up on reviews and summaries of shows that you are interested in, and enjoy. - 30295
